Prepare to enter the wild and wooly world of an adult with Aspergers Syndrome, a form of autism characterized by intellignce, quirks, social difficulties and downright strange and oddish behaviours.

People with Aspergers generally are high functioning in everyday life but have great difficulty connecting with others due to the inability to read faces, body language and subtle verbal clues. They also tend to take words literally and have a hard time multi-tasking.

Oversensitivity to touch (clothing has to be soft and often the tags removed), light (do not leave home without the sunglasses), sound (loud noises and noisey places are avoided), taste (many Aspies have quite a limited diet and are frequently very picky eaters) and smells makes the everyday existence more of a challenge.

Fasten your seatbelts and come on in...

I wonder...

  1. Hi Love, Lis:)
Actually, I'm doing really well. Overall, much more stable and grounded. Therapy is a mighty bitch, especially when you have a caring, intelligent therapist...fucker.
Naw, I'm just working stuff out...lots of stuff. Opening throat, sacral and now, heart chakra.
Funny, memories now come with the color of the chakra they are attached to. Light blue Spirit, orange very emotional. Had a couple band new revelations from orange lately that I was clueless about. Heavy emotion, like a sudden release, puncture of an emotional cyst, orange. Pretty intense. Just part of this fucking healing journey shit:)
Also, in a poor mood. No coffee this morning. Naw, got a retainer for my lower teeth so my mouth, face and neck hurt like a son of a bitch And I just ordered an upper retainer because I needed more pain! Naw, just really want straight teeth:)
Seriously, I'm doing quite well. Always knowing I have the love and support of you, Jill and others:)
    I love ya, darling!!! Amy
